Kissimmee is a small town in Florida with about 61,000 inhabitants near Orlando. The city is the county seat of Osceola County.
History of kissimmee
Kissimmee was the mid-19th Century under the name of Allendale. In 1883, the name was officially renamed in Kissimmee.
In 1894, and 1895 was looking for a long cold spell the region home. It caused heavy crop losses.
In 1900 Kissimmee got electricity.
The Osceola High School in 1915 won their first football game with 6:0.
In 1943, the Monument of States was inaugurated. A flood in 1956 caused about U.S. $ 2 million damage in Kissimmee.
When in 1971 the Disney park was opened, changed the size hitherto source of revenue for the city, agriculture, tourism.

In Kissimmee, the Osceola County Stadium, a 1984 baseball field built with a capacity for 5,130 spectators. In the stadium, the Houston Astros their Spring Training. Also in Kissimmee are built in 1996 Osceola County Softball Complex and the Austin-Tindall Regional Park

Kissimmee is located in close proximity to Interstate Highway 4. In addition, the Florida’s Turnpike from Interstate 75 at Wildwood in Kissimmee over to Miami.
A railway line runs from Orlando (Florida) of Kissimmee to Tampa.
The Kissimmee Gateway Airport is located in downtown Kissimmee.
