Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon

Typhoon Lagoon water park is located at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, USA. The park, which opened in June 1989 contains the largest wave pool in the world. The theme park is a “Disney Legend” of a typhoon that destroyed a beautiful tropical paradise. In the park are boats, fishing buoys and surfboards left there for the “storm”. At the center of the park is “Miss Tilly,” a shrimp boat pushed a mountain called “Mont Mayday” that makes a geyser eruption in 50 feet of water every half hour. The park’s mascot is named “Gator Lagoon” in relation to the mascot of another aquatic Disney’s Blizzard Beach, whose mascot is named Ice Gator. And on this site, Hannah Montana gave his first recital.
